One might say that the sense of narrative which flows through the work of Yu Nishimura is the result of a certain instability. The ambiguity of its simple, naïve renderings call upon the viewer for interpretation and open up a rich world of expression in which the gaps are filled by imagination. His works are not those of grandeur and strong impression but achieve an effect upon the viewer as they lead us along the path of an unfinished tale.
