Yosuke Yajima
Yosuke Yajima is a young photographer gaining increased recognition abroad, having been selected for Kassel, Germany’s 6th Fotobook Festival Dummy Award Shortlist in 2013 and the Unseen Dummy Book Award in 2013 and 2014. Yajima’s portraits of friends and suburban landscapes quietly and beautifully reflect the particular senses of discrepancy and strangeness experienced by the generation born and raised in city suburbs in the 1980s and the unease felt in the city of Tokyo. Around 13 color works taken since around 2010 are on display.
