Wako Works of Art
Finished

Artists

Lewis Baltz
First taking a camera in his hands at the age of 11, Lewis Baltz began his career as a photographer in his early 20s, still under the influence of the prevalent minimalist movement. Participating in the renowned “New Topographics” exhibition in 1975 at the International Museum of Photography at the George Eastman House, he soon rose to international acclaim. This exhibition features two series of work, the monochrome sand dunes of “Near Reno”(1977) and the interiors of leading research labs across France, Switzerland and Japan, connected in particular with the development of nuclear power in “Sites of Technology”(1989-1991).
