Tokyo station celebrated its 100th anniversary on December 20 2014. During the Meiji era the Tokyo government instigated the Tokyo City Improvement Ordinance, setting in motion the construction of an elevated railway line between two terminals, Shimbashi and Ueno, along with the plan for a central station. This exhibition follows the vision of architects involved in this project including Franz Baltzer, Kingo Natsuno, Kaname Haraguchi, Ryutaro Nomura and Takegoro Okada.
