Claude Monet
The Marmottan Monet Museum is famed for its collection of works which were in the possession of Impressionist master, Claude Monet, at the time of his death at the age of 86 years old. Donated to the museum by the artist’s son, Michel, key works in this collection are here brought together with others to form a 90 piece exhibition. From works recording the growth of children, to his dear friend Renoir’s depiction of the Monet couple, landscape paintings of his travels and his late works produced despite struggling with cataracts, this collection introduces the shear richness of creation which abounded from Monet.
