Diversity in Graphics

Guardian Garden
Finished

Artists

Yutaro Ogawa, Yukiko Shimono, Hikari Daimon, Kanae Takeshi Hayashi
Four 1_Wall artists introduce new trends in graphics. Yutaro Ogawa’s “mobile printings” explore the boundaries of animation. Yukiko Shimono questions the physical nature of painting by using vector data to shrink and enlarge images to infinite degrees. Hikari Daimon’s female manga characters seem to hijack their panels through transformations in size, as if they might protrude from the page. Kanae Takeshi Hayashi pursues the limits of speed in visual communications through images with contrasting strokes and motifs. While taking various approaches, all four artists find new values in graphics through unique expressions of the genre.
