Artists

Katsumi Komagata
Katsumi Komagata unveils two contrasting series of works including the highly intricate network of lines framed within a simple composition which afford a space of mystery and the minimal works of a single line which divides the support in two and creates a strange sense of physical depth, each created in black and white prints of the silkscreen. Komagata worked for some time as a graphic designer in New York and after returning to Japan and having a child he began to produce books for children with visual and hearing challenges. This exhibition shifts the focus to Komagata’s work as an artist, while also presenting his latest book publication, and celebrates a single corner of thought in a world of unending substance and value.
