This event has ended.

Author of “Pink”, “Helter Skelter” and “River’s Edge”, Kyoko Okazaki (b. 1963) is a manga artist who defined the 1980s-1990s. Though she brought her practice to an end in 1996 after an accident, her influence continues to be felt through the release of unpublished work and film versions of “Helter Skelter” etc., bringing a new generation of readers to her creative output. Renowned as a manga artist who captured the everyday life of young women living in the city and the realities of their desires and insecurities under an accelerated regime of capitalism and changing values, Okazaki distilled the character of a generation, reflected here in a collection of 300 original illustrations, sketches and related materials.
