Artists

Kiyoshi Hamada
Kiyoshi Hamada(1937-) is an artist who produces abstract images from a variety of materials including acrylic paint and pencil. Enveloping the surface of his support with paint he then goes about cutting into its plane with a cutting knife, or fills his page with such density of pencil strokes that not a single gap is left, never ceasing in his push towards the possibilities of painting and drawing. With a particular connection to Nerima ward held through his work as a teacher at a local elementary school, he here presents a collection of over 40 works spanning from his early career to new productions.
