Manami Takahashi
The Tokyo Metropolitan Teian Art Museum reopened after renovations last autumn, more than 80 years since it was first built as a residence for the Asakanomiya royal family. It has served as both a familial and official residence, at one time becoming a state guesthouse. It is currently a public art museum, but what was its ambience like at its time of construction? Photographer Manami Takahashi captures the museum through her own perspective, evoking its present and past.
