Yosuke Bandai
Bandai is an artist who has centered his practice upon photography and through his work has come to examine the very properties of the medium. In this exhibition he combines found images from the internet, negative scans and text to form a space which reaches beyond the definitions of video, sculpture, photography or installation. Here he pushes the bounds of photography which usually restrict us to the conception of the frame and the flat plane. This fragmented “memory” in turns moves the consciousness and memory of the viewer and brings us somewhere between the real and the constructed, the living and the dead.
