Koichi Ono
Koichi Ono, a professor of the College of Art and Design’s Correspondence Course, graduated from Musashino Art University’s Department of Painting in 1970, went on to study at Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste Berlin, then made Berlin his base until returning to Japan in 1984. He became a part-time instructor at the university in 1986 and a full professor in 2009. This exhibition presents Professor Ono’s oeuvre from his German period through his recent work, in which he has continued to seek materiality in art, as well as his educational and research achievements.
