Many of the diversely expressive works by the young finalists of 12th 1_Wall Photography Contest are both conceptual and concerned with familiar people and environments. One female contestant took pictures once per year over a period of three years. Another finalist photographed the Japan Sea on winter nights, while another used fashion photography as a context for photographing friends. There are also photographs that skillfully render scenes of sunlight and greenery in black and white, strategically created images of daily life that resemble street snapshots, and daily tableaus inspired by personal memories. See which of these works will take the Grand Prix.
