Born between 1986-1995 this exhibition features a group of artists all in their 20s, each working at the front of different alternative cultural scenes. Growing up in a world in which the bubble had burst and encountering a string of recessions, these members have little interest in consumption but rather the possibilities of production, continuing to search out hope in society. With the global financial crisis of 2008, the increasing conservatism of the art scene and market, and the disaster of 3.11, these events have come to shape the artists who appear here, shifting towards an alternative movement, searching out another way from the established route.
