Spiral Book Garden is a special gallery of Spiral-selected publications by contemporary artists, designers, poets, and picture book writers and illustrators. The first session of this limited-time-only event presents “picture books and poetry,” displaying and selling 100 illustrated publishings and poetry collections by popular major artists of our era, such as Shuntaro Tanikawa, Seizo Tashima, Chinatsu Watanabe, Jun Miura, Yasumasa Morimura, and Machiko Kyo. In addition to contemporary artists’ latest works with messages for the children of today, works for adults with a cynical slant are among the selections. Space designated especially for browsing presents the chance to find the perfect volume for warming up your winter.
On December 13th (Sun), the poets Mizuki Misumi, Kanie Naha, Yumi Fuzuki, and Sayaka Osaki will participate in a “poem baton relay” reading series.
