This event has ended.
Soetsu Yanagi’s crafts collection assembled from the 1910s through the 1950s consists mainly of works made in the Edo period and is based on the concept “Mingei,” a term Yanagi coined in 1924. In addition to works from this era, crafts from various fields dating to the Jomon through early Showa periods are included in this exhibition focusing on the crafts of Japan while tracing the history of Yanagi’s collection.
