For the 70th anniversary of the popular manga series and TV animation Sazae-san, which debuted 1946, this exhibition features the work of its creator and Japan’s first professional woman manga artist, Machiko Hasegawa. A superb selection of 100 original Sazae-san illustrations, as well as picture books and other works by Hasegawa, showcase her humorous and heartwarming creative world. Limited-edition merchandise will be on sale.
