The work in this exhibition draws upon the cloak room system of hotels, musesums and parties. Bags and personal affects are placed on platforms in the glass framed exhibition space and become temporary objects of viewing, disconnected from their usual meaning and function, performing as a reading made in the Nadiff Window Gallery. In conjunction with this exhibition Nobutaka Aozaki also presents the publication “Memorial, 53 Mosquitoes”, observing the action of squashing mosquitoes and the line between life and death accompanied with a particular tinge of humor.
