The 19th century British artist, and so-called father of modern design, William Morris, spoke of beautiful books being second only to a beautiful home. Exceptional book design has the power to draw people towards it. Lovingly made books which give consideration to every detail, from typography to image layout and material will ensure that the physical book is never completely displaced by the electronic book. Harumi Shimizu and Yohei Sanjo select 30 leading examples of book design and ask you to take them in your hands and experience them for yourself.
