In 2012 some of Tanaami’s old works were discovered in storage: collages created between 1968 and 1970, unfinished pieces, and materials used to create them. Tanaami brought these projects into the studio and spent three years checking and restoring them piece by piece, re-pasting peeled-away areas and rebuilding ripped parts with materials he also moved back into the space. After 40 years, these unfinished works left in a corner of storage have returned in forms completed by Tanaami himself. Like connecting pieces of childhood memories and dream fragments, working on these pieces must have been like playing in a fantastic world beyond the here and now. Gallery 360 Degrees exhibits 24 of these works.
