Since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Takashi Kawashima has used the photographs illustrating the literature of W.G. Sebald, Susan Sontag, Michel Houellebecq and Kobo Abe as sensors through which to face disaster. In this work he he combines straight photography, CG, video, sculpture and text to build up a story around catastrophe.
