The sixth of the Musashino Art University and Design series, which explores the history of modern and contemporary design through works in our collection, introduces aspects of twentieth-century design from the perspective of living spaces. Through interiors composed using leading examples of domestic design―furniture, lighting fixtures, tableware, and other items for daily use—from various periods and countries, including Japan, the United States, and Europe, this exhibition examines the nature of creating spaces as places for living.
