SOS in Afghanistan

The University Art Museum - Tokyo University of the Arts
Finished
An extremely rare opportunity to see displaced cultural heritage artifacts and artwork from Afghanistan, including works held by the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Tokyo National Museum. Cultural treasures such as fragments from murals surrounding the Taliban-destroyed Buddhas of Bamiyan are among the 102 displays. There will also be a full-sized reproduction of a mural that once adorned the Buddhas of Bamiyan ceiling. This exhibition coincides with Hidden Treasures From the National Museum, Kabul at the Tokyo National Museum.
