Yuji Takeoka
Yuji Takeoka (1946-) is a Düsseldorf-based, internationally active artist who took as his point of departure the pedestals on which sculptures are placed, producing works on this theme and developing a style that investigates the role of space in the display of objects. This exhibition is being held concurrently at the Tōyama Memorial Museum (in Saitama Prefecture), where the artists has created an exhibition plan that utilies the Japanese-style architecture of the former Tōyama residence, recognized as a cultural asset.
