Mitsuru Koido
This exhibition presents works by the sculptor Mitsuru Koido, who has contributed to the education at Musashino Art University for over thirty years. He addresses iron, a material that has both hardness and softness, and forges it to shape that implies a composed vehemence, like a wind blowing up from hills towards a mountain peak or snow-melt water eroding rock as it falls. This exhibition, which focuses on his iron sculptures, explores the potential of metalwork art.
