Mika Ninagawa “Light Of”

Tomio Koyama Gallery Roppongi
Finished

Artists

Mika Ninagawa
When the lights are bright, the colors glow. When the lights are strong, the shadows are deep. Ninagawa’s work resonates susceptibly with a darkness that adjoins the world of light. A sense of visual flamboyance that celebrates the opening of the gallery space in the Complex 665 Building; an urge to crystallize moments of beauty; and the artist’s eyes reaching our out for something eternal are all impressed upon the viewers strongly. The exhibition inaugurates the gallery’s new chapter in Roppongi. It is hoped that by joining the various museums such as the Mori Art Museum; The National Art Center, Tokyo; the Suntory Museum; and 21_21 Design Sight, as well as Roppongi Hills and the galleries located in the Piramide building, that these three galleries will be further stimulus to activate a new art district within Roppongi.
