Nile Koetting
Currently showing in “Roppongi Crossing 2016” at the Mori Art Museum, as well as at a group show at ZKM, Germany, Nile Koetting is a young artist very much in the international spotlight. Moving seamlessly between moving image, installation, sound art and performance, he attempts to redefine art from its core, approaching human kind as a sentient object. Here he takes up the key word of “environment” and questions the relationship between energy and humanity, and the destruction of nature’s border by the man-made, whilst referncing the work of scientist Henry Moray and the Moray machine.
