The third “3331 Art Fair ‒ Various Collectors Prizes” is gearing up in Tokyo, with a lineup of artists as noteworthy as their selectors: curators of the rapidly changing contemporary art scene, galleries with their fingers on the pulse of the art market, and alternative spaces that have gathered attention for the very spaces they have created. Furthermore, in honor of artist Fumiko Kobayashi who passed away this January, a memorial exhibition “Nest” (tentative title) will be presented as a special booth alongside the art fair. The art fair will feature fifteen artists who have been selected by curator Mami Kataoka of Mori Art Museum, Tomoko Yabumae of The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo and Mizuki Endo. From the larger Tokyo area, over ten alternative spaces and their artists will be introduced. Beyond an opportunity to purchase, this art fair will be a place to encounter provocative and radical works of art.
