Artists in FAS is an artist in residence program which allows artists to stay and make work at Fujisawa City Art Space. Open to submission this program attracted 69 applications from around the country with five artists being selected by a special jury. Four of these artists spent two months at FAS producing their works and unveil the fruits of their time here in this exhibition.Satoshi Kawata features a fresco upon the FAS wall, Atsuko Nakamura shifts from her usual large scale installations to works which deal with the elemenets of air, water and clouds, Mayu Hirota presents large scale paintings inspired by her diary, and Taro Furukata creates works from materials found in Fujisawa. 8hotel Prize winner Haru Mori stayed for 1 week in the 8hotel and unveils works made for the guest rooms of this space.
