Kazuo Okazaki “Who’s Who”

Chiba City Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Kazuo Okazaki et al.
Kazuo Okazaki has been working as an object artist since the 1960s. By doing things like taking out the insides of common items or projecting images onto random shapes, he creates pop-influenced, humorous works slightly removed from typical perspectives that are not overly burdened by artistic weightiness or inscrutability. This exhibition, a “Who’s Who” of Okazaki’s objects, introduces his life’s work influenced by artists ranging from Marcel Duchamp to Man Ray and Hokusai, tracing his sources of inspiration.
