This event has ended.

Renowned for his collaboration in the 1970s with musician Frank Zappa, Bruce Bickford pioneered his own unique style of clay animation and continues to produce his remarkable creations from the solitude of his home in the Seattle suburbs. “Bruce Bickford’s Garage” shines a new light upon the vast collection of sets and characters which have lain sleeping in his garage for many years, with a selection on display at Vacant, with the artist in attendance himself and chances to catch him at work in the gallery.

This show is also accompanied by “Bruce Bickford’s Metamorphosis” with a collaboration between Bickford, New Deer and Gottingham with a special photography series of fashion portraits by Bickford himself.
