Ken Ikeda, Shin Suzuki
Ken Ikeda lives and works in London, and this show is his first in Japan in 12 years. “Primal Scene – Kafou” is curated by Takayo Iida, an independent curator. In this exhibition, Ikeda juxtaposes sounds and visual images inspired by the diary series “Dyspepsia House Days” by Japanese author, playwright, essayist, and diarist Kafu Nagai (1879-1959). Ikeda also collaborates with photographer Shin Suzuki. As an artist who lived through the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and WWII, how would Nagai look on the world today?
