This October, Taka Ishii Gallery will relocate to complex665 in Roppongi, where it will continue to further expand and enrich its activities as a contemporary art gallery. In correspondence to the opening of the new space, the gallery is pleased to present the inaugural exhibition “Moved,” a group show featuring 20 artists that brings together the latest works by a collection of Japanese and foreign artists represented by the gallery. Featured artists range from masters of Japanese photography to leading Western figures in the recent contemporary art scene, painters who pursue their own unique pictorial expressions, a performance artist who continues to inherit and communicate the avant-garde spirit of the ‘50s through his work, and the next generation of artists whose works effortlessly transcend the framework of existing mediums.
