An exhibition of new work from the first participants in Kyoto Design Lab’s Designer in Residence, Julia Lohmann and Gero Grundmann. Lohmann utilized the latest technology in the D-lab to work with seaweed and bamboo, forming light furnishings and art works based on motifs of the sea. Grundmann on other hand made use of the Kyoto Institute of Technology’s historic printing press to produce “Making the Known New” in a form of communication design.
