Artists

Shinji Ogawa
Shinji Ogawa (b. 1959) has continued to rework famous Western paintings and well-known tourist spots in his questioning of the world. From Leonardo Davinci to Vermeer, Ogawa’s faithful copies of the great masters have led to many of his original works which incorporate photography, architectural references and old letters. In this exhibition Ogawa presents the major series “Symmetry/Non-symmetry”, “Without You”, “Continuum”, “Behind You” as well as unveiling works previously unseen in Japan. He also includes multiple layered video work and new installations.
