This event has ended.
In its fourth quarterly collection exhibition spotlighting contemporary Japanese art and works by artists with ties to Yokosuka, the Yokosuka Museum of Art features Saeko Wakabayashi (1972–2008), an oil painter who broadened her practice to include prints, sculpture, and other works after studying in Paris in 2000. Through her genre-spanning works explore the creative development of this much-missed artist who died too young. The exhibition also includes works by Kanuemon Asai, a postwar Western-style painter with a studio in Yokosuka City for 20 years, as well as a selection of portraits, and prints by the Yokosuka-born Mineo Goto.
