Nam June Paik
“Nam June Paik is considered the Father of video art. Marking a decade since his death, this exhibition sheds light on the title of his boldly predicative 1993 work “Who Will Be Laughing in 2020.” Around 230 examples of his installations, video, paintings, and drawings created in Germany and Japan from the 1970s through the 1990s survey the concepts behind Paik’s work and the life of the artist himself. A collaboration with Joseph Beuys is also featured.
Part 1: July 17–October 10
