Internet Black Market Tokyo 2016: Purchasing Power

3331 Arts Chiyoda
Finished
Internet Yami-ichi* (Internet Black Market) is flea market-style event for buying and selling internet-ish goods and services in real life. After the first event started in 2012, it has been spreading to cities around the world such as Tokyo, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam and New York. This year’s event is part of the Japan Media Arts Festival 20th Anniversary Exhibition – Power to Change. Here digital data, products, performances, and “memories” that could only be shared in this space are bought and sold. Interesting objects and valuable information – but nothing illegal or dangerous – will be bartered.
