The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum’s current building was constructed in 1975 according to the plans of architect Kunio Maekawa, who for a period of 10 years from 1978 led art workshops as part of the museum’s program. Archived materials related to these workshops, including photographs and works completed by participants, are exhibited for the museum’s 90th anniversary.
