Miyako Akai
Miyako Akai - creator of tiny books - won her first award at an international competition for miniature books in 2006. She was the first person in Japan to receive this accolade, and went on to receive another award the following year. In 2016 she was awarded yet again, proving herself once again as the charismatic queen of miniature books in Japan. In this exhibition around 30 of her works will be on show, including her latest award-winning title as well as other popular creations such as “Alice in Wonderland.”
Akai will be at the exhibition on December 10 (Sat), 11 (Sun), 17 (Sat) and 18 (Sun) and you will be able to order books directly from the artist. After selecting the color and shape of your book, you can watch the artist putting your book together.
