Asumi Sakurai, a Tokyo University of the Arts graduate student and recipient of the 2016 Ueno Royal Museum Award for Excellence (Nikkei Prize), explores distances between herself and others in her Nihonga paintings. Twenty of her works including new paintings are displayed.
