Koh Hasebe
This exhibition which presents photographs from “Music Life” magazine taken Koh Hasebe, who has spent many years photographing rock stars, has previously been presented in Kyoto (Foil Gallery) and Fukuoka (Nishitetsu Hall). “Music Life” was a magazine that presented original interviews with music artists and made its name based on being uniquely Japanese. The editor would put on a kimono to head abroad in order to meet rock stars and bring them back to Japan, where they would be introduced to Japanese shrines and temples, as well as famous landmarks and cultural traditions. This exhibition is a chance to see the photographs that documented these rare occasions in one place.
