Mitsukuni Misaki “Being Boundless”

LIXIL Gallery 1 & 2

Artists

Mitsukuni Misaki
Mitsukuni Misaki’s attractive ceramic works have a tranquil yet tense appearance. His “Saiyu-deiki” series, named after the ceramic glaze and clay used, is impressive with its brilliant blue surfaces achieved by the application of four layers of blue and white glazes which have fused together to create seemingly boundless imaginary landscapes. In this exhibition, you can see seven new works, all created in 2016, which differ from previous works in this series due to the way their forms seem to expand horizontally.
