Nippon Vision Market: Hiroshima – Miyajima Ladles and Waterless Pots

The Miyajima Ladle is created with wood from Hiroshima Prefecture’s abundant forests and woodworking techniques used to build Itsukushima Shrine. Waterless pots, another Hiroshima specialty, cook, bake, and boil with very little water required and feature a design nearly unchanged in 60 years. This exhibition introduces two Hiroshima tools used to make delicious rice.
