Yu Shinoda
Yu Shinoda received the Grand Prize at Shiogama Photo Festival in 2013, and in 2015 he published his photo collection “Medium.” Meanwhile, he has been exhibiting in venues throughout Tokyo, Kansai and Tohoku, as well as overseas. This exhibition will be held at Alternate Space Alt_Medium, where Shinoda is also involved in gallery operations. It will present handwritten text alongside photographs by the artist. For Shinoda, who continues to interrogate photography using both photographs and words, it is a natural move to display his text and images in the same space. According to the artist, this is part of “an attempt to head towards more realistic things.”
