Lee Kyeongsoo
Lee Kyeongsoo is a graphic designer active in Seoul, Korea. He studied Visual Communication Design at Dankook University. From 2001, he worked for Ahn Graphics, and then in 2006 established the independent studio, Workroom, together with other designers, editors and photographers. Having studied typography under Helmut Schmid at Hongik University in 2006, he has a strong personal interest in typography, paying attention to the space between letters, paragraphs and pages. He also teaches typography and editorial design. In early 2016, Kyeongsoo held a solo exhibition of his works at Gallery Factory, Seoul.
For this exhibition, 14 posters from the “Blowup” series, made over the last ten years and depicting his exploration of ‘typographic problems,’ will be displayed together with comments from collaborators on both the artist and his works. In addition, “bari abandoned” posters, which show lyrics set in synchronization with breath patterns, will be exhibited.
