Artists

Helen Schjerfbeck
Helene Schjerfbeck (1862-1946) was a leading Finnish artist born in Helsinki. After studying in Paris, she returned to her homeland and continued to work there. Marking the 70th anniversary of her death, this exhibition looks back on her oeuvre, which transformed significantly from realism in the late 19th century to introspective works in the early 20th century.
