Since ancient times Japanese people have offered prayers to the gods in various ways, including purification rituals, votives, protective talismans, festivals, and charms to bring good luck. This exhibition presents several such charms designed by eight “enkatsu” (good fortune) artists with assured taste and skill and unique outlooks.
