Another Mountain One Show 2015

The Ad Museum Tokyo
Finished
The Advertising Museum Tokyo’s first exhibition this year introduces works that have won awards in “The One Show,” one of the world’s three greatest advertising prizes organized by The One Club for Art & Copy, a non-profit established in 1975 in New York to discover and nurture young creators. The One Show is judged each year by a panel of the world’s leading creators and is held in high regard by the global advertising industry. Award-winners in 2015 included advertisements using American-style cynicism and humor, as well as entertainment and innovation that save the world, and advertisements that take a stand on social issues such as gender. Each includes amazing ideas that have moved people around the world. Recently, developments in technology have changed the media environment, leading advertising to a new stage. Campaigns that create a buzz go beyond media in the extent to which their ideas are accepted into people’s lives. Attempts to solve global social problems that emerge using the ideas and methods of advertising have already begun to create major waves.

This exhibition looks at each individual idea that changes the world as a “mountain” forming parts of the global scene. Our “mountains” of ideas continually provide us with inspiration, and make us aware of changes in the scenery around us. “Look at advertising and see the world” – you will see a greater, more exciting, unseen landscape.
