A line up of films celebrating Kon Ichikawa’s role in the golden age of cinema. “In the end film is the play of light and shadow, the drama between these two elements. It is this light and shadow which shall never be exhausted and will continue into eternity.” With digital remasters of the likes of “Her Brother”, “Revenge of a Kabuki Actor”, and “Enjo” this program opens the light and dark that quivers in the legacy of Japanese film history.
